Hi, Charles. I don't know that I would delay your purchase. I think you are
correct in that PDI and other companies in this industry do seem to treat
their customers poorly. But remember. You do have a one year warranty. If
anything goes wrong with your unit, all you need do is to ship it to PDI
for repair. You might also consider buying a hardware maintenance agreement
at the end of your first year just in case.
When it works, it is a great unit. I don't regret buying one and except for
my keyboard going out, I haven't had any other problems.
With a 6000 dollar investment, I will probably buy a hardware mmaintenance
agreement at the end of this year. They are kind of expensive, but if your
motherboard or display went out, it would be more expensive to have it fixed.

I was about to purchase a BrailleNote. However, after reading the repair
and shipping concerns under this subject line, I will at least delay my
purchase. Hopefully, Pulse Data will mend whichever issues resulted in
this unjust error toward trusting customers--paying customers. Would it
help for others around the world to hear of these things, so that concerns
can be addressed to Pulse Data in order that they be motivated to rectify
any systemic problems?
