Hello Eva,

If you go to the options/review voice menu, there is an option called delete
alert tone volume. Set this to 0 and this will disable the tone.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Subject: [Braillenote] A couple of questions from a newby

Hello listers,

I have a couple of questions for you please. I can't find the
information on searching in the user guide and that's driving me crazy!
Someone please tell me how to do it. The other thing is that I hear an
annoying beep when I press backspace in a document to delete the last
charactor in KeyWord. What is that for? Can I get rid of it?

I am enjoying this unit very much so far. I love the idea of the thumb
keys. It's a brilliant idea for convenience. I don't know if the braille
lite forty or the packmate have that. I know that I am enjoying this
feature very much. So much better than the advance bar on the braille lite
eighteen.
                                            Thanks for your help
                                                   God bless
                                                         Eva
