Hi Sara and list,

I was able to arrange an upgrade with Verizon to get the LG VX4500 phone. I had to deal with their customer service since the local store wasn't willing to work with me on this. I agree the V60S phones are very nice indeed! I have those presently myself!

I am with Verizon Wireless and have a Motorola V60S. As far as I know, all the V60 series from Motorola are easy enough to use and able to be connected to the BN. Of course, one cannot navigate all the menus without vision; I don't know of a standard phone on the market that is truly accessible without spending piles and piles of money on a special phone and special software to make it talk. However, with a little assistance, I was able to memorize the keystrokes I needed to use to change my ringtones. I also found a website which is quite accessible where one can get cables for a huge variety of phones. The URL is:

www.thesupplynet.com

Hope this helps.

Subject: [Braillenote] Mobile phone with serial cable

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of a mobile phone that is easy to operate for blind people and can be connected to the BN via a serial cable?
Thanks in advance for any info.
Regards,
Ilona.
