Hi Paul,

Thanks for the information! I'm not surprised I'd need to change a setting or two in the phone. I never had to put in any initialization string before when I had my Startack phone.

Thanks for the good information!

Hi. I don't see why the 4500 shouldn't function with the bn. I have the lg4400 and it does work. Of course, one thing you might want to be aware of is that most people use a USB cable with these phones so you have to go into the options of the phone and change it from USB to serial. You also have to set the baud rate for 14400 or whatever that speed is<grin> You know what I mean.
You might need an init string if you are with Verizon.
Hope this helps.

Hello list,

My BN is finally on its way back to Pulsedata Humanware for a new battery. it went out today. I also ordered the 6.1 upgrade for both our units and a new carrying case for my BN. All of this will probably be trickling in at some point.

The nine pin serial cables for the VX4500 phone came today with some kind of CD. I tried one of the cables in my wife's wireless phone (vx4500) but couldn't connect to service thus far. I would have tried my unit but it is on its way back to PDI for a new battery as I stated previously! I will let you who are interested know when or if we get the cable working with the LGvx4500. Somebody thought that phone wouldn't function with a BN but don't know the paticulars.

Do take care!
