Hi, all. Well, I'm stymied. I just got my Ambicom card today. We have a router that we purchased last week, and so we installed it today. I scanned for a wireless connection and saved what I found. I have my wireless on. I selected "connect to existing configuration and was told I was connected. In reviewing my connection details, I show I'm connected, signal strength is minus 27 dbm (whatever that means). I let it get the ip address automatically, which it did, and I have a nice big long number showing. DNS address doesn't have anything showing. When I try to access a web page, I get the message that the page cannot be foundWhen I try to do email, I get error pop server, and that number that I got when I was unable to connect with my old connections when I first upgraded to Keysoft 6.X. So obviously I'm not connecting to the net. I looked through old wireless messages that I'd saved, and saw things about "browse entire network" in the file manager, but I don't see any such choice in my file manager. So obviously I didn't set something up right either in my router or my connection or something. Now I'm reviewing my connection. It has "wireless ethernet network connection" under device to use. The SSID, which I let it detect automatically, is linksys (the type of router I have). Use infrastructure mode is yes. Use shared authentication is no. Use WEP is no (should it be yes?). Then it says 802.1x (not sure what that refers to). Authentication level is 0. Obtain an ip address automatically is yes. Use a proxy server for this connection is no.

I read the manual before getting all this stuff and thought I understood it, and intend to read it again. But not really understanding how wireless works, I'm not sure what settings I might need to change.

Can anyone help?
