Hi Don, remember that BrailleNote GPS is a programme that is separate from KeySoft, and that KeySoft is being ported to a completely new version of the operating system which has significant differences. So it's really no different from a major upgrade to Windows, where vendors must make new versions of their software to run on the new operating system. One thing I can tell you with certainty is that BrailleNote GPS will work with KeySoft 6.1. What I can't at this point guarantee to you is that it will work on the very day we release KeySoft 6.1. However, I can say that if I was to take out a, er, wager on the subject, I would say it is looking more likely than not that there will be support on day one, because excellent progress is being made as we speak on this. Sendero Group is right in the loop with us on this development, and our Research and Development team is assisting Sendero Group with issues. We will of course state very clearly what the position is at the time of release. If by some remote chance GPS doesn't work with KeySoft 6.1 on release date, it will be a short time before it will. Do I gather that there is some doubt as to whether gps will be supported by the forthcoming upgrade; at least initially. Surely, I must have misunderstood. I suppose I have been a little naive in assuming that any upgrade will always extend the facilities available, and in no way take facilities away. Clarification as to the true state of affairs would be welcome. It would certainly make a difference to my decision regarding going for the new upgrade.
