Hi,
I have a PK with an Ambicomm wireless card. When I went to connect
to my home machines I was having difficulty finding them. I had to rename
the computer, I changed the workgroup also. However I do not think that
changing the workgroup made a differents though.

Hi Paul,

setting up with a simple home network.
The terminology Microsoft uses is regretably confusing. No doubt they
intended their protocols to span the entire Internet, and thought it best to
adopt terms people already knew from the ARPANet days. :-)
In your case, the "Domain" is simply equivalent to the "Workgroup", which is
"Family". The computer name is the "Server" name - this is the name
resolved by NetBIOS Name, WINS, or (in the least likely case) DNS. You can
find your computer name by looking at System Properties (found in Control
Panel), Computer Name tab.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Sabahattin
