Hi Beth and list,
I would say Email is plagued by the same memory and windows Cee limitations
in this version of Windows Cee.
I too have encountered times when I could download my Email only so far,
then the BN wouldn't do much of anything except beep over and over
again! Usually one should wait a while before concluding things are stuck
and one needs to begin the process over again. This hasn't happened to me
often now that I have 5.1 Keysoft and the hardware upgrade, but it still
happens occasionally. If I'm not able to read a particular piece of
Email, I'll reset and try again and usually that takes care of most
problems. Another thing I do is clear the database after every session of
sending and receiving Email and that takes care of many problems! My wife
was on a number of Yahoo Groups lists. She had problems going into and
reading posts on a particular Yahoo Groups List. Quite often she couldn't
write a reply to this one list since the BN would be stuck. She went back
to write a message and wrote a new one to the list rather than attempt to
reply to the message she was reading. Now that she is on the PC, I have
since cleared out all mail from the BN. It should work much better! I'm
looking forward to the upgrade when I can use the BN on DSL. My PC
certainly gets mail much faster so it will be interesting to see how much
more efficient the BN will work on the DSL Network.
The 6.01 upgrade should take care of a number of deficiencies which occur
in 5.1 of Keysoft. Stay tuned! The new upgrade can't come out fast enough!
Take care!

To clarify, Jonathan: Yes, you did state in another post that you have
downloaded hundreds of files at a time without problem and have done this
more than once, if I understood you correctly. Why are you having such good
luck but seemingly quite a few others are not? That's what puzzles me.
Thanks in advance for explaining further. Beth
