Hi Jonathan, I can't ask for more. <smile> Thanks. I shouldn't think an extra "forward change/reschedule" command in the Notetaker's Planner should have any adverse effects on Outlook synchronisation. Once the changes have been made to the appointments, won't Outlook just take these as a new set of appointments and add them to its database? Or will the original unchanged forwarded dated appointments on Outlook be copied back on to the Notetaker when synchronised? On second thoughts I can see that this may be a problem.
However, I have only used synchronisation once when first setting up the new Planner. My working practice is to add the new appointments to BN manually as soon as I am notified of a new appointment set so that I can tailor the information to my taste. I find that my sighted colleagues tend to be a bit verbose in the information they provide, and although the information initially may be of interest, Outlook tends to proliferate the same information through all of its occurrences in the diary, which can be a bit annoying whilst ploughing through the Braille. Anyway, thanks again for considering my request. Best regards, Ian. -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Mosen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 10 September 2004 21:51 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Request for change to Planner's Rescheduling mode. Hi ian, interesting suggestion. I think the reason why it's done the way it is now, is to keep the database as small as possible. We're also somewhat constrained by what Outlook does in order to be compatible for synchronisation purposes. But your idea is perfectly logical and I'll make sure we investigate it for the future.
