Thanks very much Riana ... back to normal now.

It seems to happen if the BN is in sleep mode and I try to swap functions
such as moving from the address book to the planner. I use backspace-enter-a
and backspace-enter-p to do this.
Your description for switching to one-handed mode would imply that, because
I don't always wait until the BN wakes up, the BN is thinking I am switching
on and holding the backspace hence my problem.

I'll be more careful from now on ... at least if I remember to <smile>.

Thanks again.

Regards, Ian.

Ian, switch off your bn and switch it on while holding down the enter key.
If you accidentally get into one-handed mode, you probably hold down the
backspace when switching on, as that is the command to switch to one-handed
mode. Hth Riana

Subject: [Braillenote] HELP! How to get out of one-handed mode?

For some reason I occasionally slip into one-handed mode and I can never
remember how to get out of it! I always have "speech on request and the 32
Braille cell doesn't have enough room on it to provide the information on
how to get back to the two handed mode.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Ian.
