With the BrailleNote, you seem to be comparatively safe. I have noticed that some ISP or server is adding attachments to almost every E-mail I receive. I know the originators are not putting this junk in their E-mails, so I assume it is a spammer. In general, if you do not know the person who is sending you the E-mail with the attachment, and if it is a friend and he does not tell you he is sending an attachment, do not open it. Just be safe. Even though the BN is safe from standard virii, you just never know, so just learn to say no. I have been running my PC now for over two years, and have only had one incident with a virus, and that was my fault.

Hi. Reading this message brings up an interesting problem I had the other day. I was reading email and noticed that I had an attachment in two emails. I think they were both spam. However, the bn didn't tell me the file extensions. I didn't know if they were txt, jpg, exe or whatever. What if I pressed enter on one and it was an exe? Read with I didn't give me the file extension, just told me the size.
any ideas on this one?
Thanks.

What types of files should not be downloaded to the
BrailleNote? (Im not sure of the definition of
executable files as discussed in the manual).

Thanks,
