Hello Paul,

Yes, I have heard it's best to make sure the flash card is removed before
turning the BrailleNote on. However, my data loss occurred when I exited
the files in question, and then tried to re-enter them while the unit was
still on. I was completing a homework assignment where I had to go from one
document to another using the 1256 chord command.

Thanks for your message,

Beth

Hi, Beth. Do you make sure your flash card is removed when you turn your
unit on? I know people on this list advise not leaving a flash card in the
unit when powering on.
