Dear Jim,

That makes sense. I guess I was lucky to have learned braille right from
the beginning and I learned grade 2 reading the little first-grade primers
and second-grade readers while my sighted friends were learning print and
hand-writing.

I just don't want to se this "one-code" braille implemented that would be
going backwards.

To get back on the BN topic, perhaps PDI could consider implementing the
braille-build feature of Duxbury where the grade 2 symbols are implemented
gradually. I think this feature should be an accessory not a standard
option.

: Hello Terry,
:
: If one were a novice braille reader, one might begin to improve his or her
: braille skills by starting to read in grade one or computer braille so
when
: they are ready to learn grade two, they will be somewhat practiced in the
: reading of braille at a beginning level.
