Hi, Maria. It sounds like, from your explanation, that you only have to put
the binding space in where there is a chorus. Is that correct? So for hymns
where there is no chorus that repeats, the insertion of a binding space
wouldn't be an issue. Is that correct also?
I am going to save this excellent message in my braille note e-mial folder.
Thanks.

Well, you would have to insert a Binding Space between each sentence of
your verse/chorus by deleting the regular space between the sentences and
replacing it with a Binding Space, which you produce by pressing CONTROL
with SPACE. At the end of the first verse, hit ENTER for a new line, and
indent the chorus. At the end of the chorus, hit ENTER, so the second
verse is not indented. Hit ENTER after the end of the second verse, so
the third verse is not indented, and repeat the procedure with all
verses. As Laura pointed out, placing a Binding Space between all
sentences of a verse/chorus will make the BN read each verse/chorus as a
single, in the case of "Sentence and Paragraph" reading mode, sentence, so
you could, in your case, use the READ with U and READ with O commands to
move between verses/chorus (and this works in the default "Sentence and
Paragraph" mode, so you don't have to change it). So, if your cursor was
at the beginning of Verse 1, you could press READ with O when you're at
the end of Verse 1 to get to the Chorus, and press it again to get to
Verse 2; when you're finished with Verse 2, you would hit READ with U once
to get back to the Chorus, then hit READ with O twice to get to Verse 3,
then hit READ with U twice to get back to the Chorus, etc. (assuming the
hymn goes Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, etc., although you would move
accordingly if it did not, of course).
I suppose you would have to insert the Binding Spaces/carriage
returns/indents in the appropriate places for every song. I guess the
process takes less time when one is typing the words in and inserting the
Binding Spaces/carriage returns/indents in the appropriate places as they
go, but for existing text, the only thing to do would be to go in and make
the appropriate adjustment. It would take a while, but it works nicely
(I've tried it).
HTH,
Maria
