Yes, I use Active Sunc with Ethernet with the USB connection and it does
just fine. If you don't set up that partnership, it wil only allow you to do
file management.

Hi Jeff,

It's interesting you say that you have problems with ethernet activesync as
I've used it almost exclusively for over a year.

It's always worked quite well for me and I found it also significantly
faster than via serial connection. The only thing is that you need to be
sure to establish a
partnership using the serial connection first and then disconnect, and
change the connection settings in activesync to ignore the serial port and
to look at
the network.

Also you have to program the bn using bnipconfig.exe with the address info
from the computer you want to connect to.

Sounds complicated to explain, but it's really easy after you've done it a
few times. But, with 6.1, it's nice just to plug in wireless and go.
<grin>

Hey Dan:

The other thing I'd try is to go into the utilities miscellaneous menu and
cycle through the communications ports to be used for ActiveSync. Remember,
you need to make the connection on the serial port first before attempting
to connecting on infra-red or via the network. I've never been able to get
Ethernet Active Sync to work correctly for very long and I don't know if
Humanware supports Active Sync via Ethernet anyway. .

I also just checked the Microsoft site and the Latest version of Active Sync
available for Windows is version 3.8. I'm not sure what utility your using
that has a version 7.x something.
