Hi Reggie, First, it sounds like you are not connecting to the wireless network itself, so don't worry about email accounts and such at this point.
If you have wep turned on in your router and have entered the key there, make sure you also have it turned on in the wireless connection you're trying to set up on the bn. The default is wep = no, so you have to change this to yes. When you do, you will get an edit field where you enter in the same key as you entered into the router. These keys have to match exactly in order for a connection to take place. If they don't match, you may get the "please wait" prompt when the bn tries to connect to the router. If you get this message and that's as far as it goes, it would sound like the keys are not identical. Generally, you can leave the other settings in your connection configuration on the bn at their default values unless you specifically set other options on your router. If you're still having trouble, I suggest you try turning off wep on your router and also on the bn as a test to see if you can connect without wep enabled. If you can, then you know it is a wep mismatch and you can pretty much rule out other problem sources. I hope this is of some help. I have said yes to WEP and put in a string of numbers and letters in the WEP Key. The record has been accepted but I cannot connect. My Ambicom tells me it sees new network, but when I enter on HomeOffice (name I gave it) I get a beep and then it just says "Please Wait." No matter how long I let it sit nothing happens. Please help some of you techies! I am desperate. It seems it wants to connect but I never get anywhere. I have even tried to ask for mail and nothing. Please give me instructions as 1., 2., and 3. and so on as I am still an technology/internet/PC toddler, although I am growing older by the day (smile). Thanks a bunch!
