It does seem odd to me that these sorts of things were not caught in the
beta cycle. There are always bugs that can crop up even after beta testers
have done their best. but it seems odd to me that someone missed basic
email problems like downloading or sending messages as has been reported on
this list or the fact that settings were not properly transferred with the
upgrade.
Being a beta tester myself, I know that after a release, users will always
find more obscure problems not found during initial testing, but these
problems seem to be such basic day-to-day issues which should have been
spotted.
Well.Hopefully, we will get a 6.2 patch out pretty soon. I would assume
that since 6.1 was completed about mid January that the development team is
already hard at work on something it now being almost March.

Hi Jonathan et al, we have waited a year for Keysoft 6.1 and it is
disgrace that Keymail has deteriorated from 5.1. My keymail connection
and connectivity connect properly to my email account, but the first
message sticks and hangs up at 1% approx 16kbps! This happens no matter
what the size of the email is. I've tried setting up this account on my
pc but as it's a dialup and the account I'm using to send this email on
my pc is a broadband connection, it doesn't in Outlook Express like my
username, despite using the same settings that connect on my BN (just to
confirm it's a Demon account on my BNBT and is a dialup). What can I do?
I've also contacted my friend John Gallagher who lives about 70 miles
away in the UK and he and his friend Mr Cooper, are also having the same
problems. Can we have a patch downloadable from the SWD site that will
resolve this problem as having to pay already for a product which at the
moment doesn't satisfy me, is not on! Keymail seems to send messages ok.
Keyweb seems to be okbut I haven't noticed any improvements.
Wireless, I can't comment because there seems to be no public networks in
my area, but I need to try this in a library, restaurant, hotel or airport.
I know some of you have said the BN is a PDA and not a pc, but in 5.1, if
I was away for two weeks, I would have a thousand or more emails on the
server. I would download about 300-400 and then press space with e
followed by y and the machine would ask me if I wanted to remain
connected. I would press n for no. I would then read these email and then
go back online to download some more. I didn't have any difficulties with
that process, but in 6.1 I can't even download one message whatever its size!
I look forward to a prompt reply please Jonathan or Dean and hopefully
being able to resolve my grumbles, because I love my BNBT when it works to
my satisfaction.
Cheers, Steve
