Hi. what may also help is formatting the card from the computer with the card reader. Also if the files you put on to the flashcard are not of the keyword type, you may need to press space with X in order to see them from the compact flash drive or from with in the folder they are stored in. if the card just doesn't work, you should be able to put it into the card reader and the computer and format it that way, just like you would any floppy disk. Then you could recopy the files and try again. Hope this makes some sense. When i got my first flashcard I had to do this once.

Hi, Betsy:
    Don't apologize for asking the question. I wish you had seen the list
before, because once you format a cf card in a BN, I don't think you can use
it anywhere.
    Does it show any type of folders? If so, can you go in to the file
directory and have them show up? If it's possible to check at all, try
going in to the file directory, and pressing SPACE with X to see if anything
shows. Sorry, I sure hope it works.
    The only thing you might do is do the F for files, F for folders, E to
erase. See if it shows it to you that way, and maybe erase them. Let us
know how it works out.

Yesterday is history;
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift;
That's why it's called the present.

Subject: [Braillenote] compact flash trouble

Hi,

I am having trouble with my new compact flash card. I copied files on to it from my PC using a card reader, but when I inserted the card into the BN it wanted to reformat the card and didn't see the files I had copied. I let it
format the card, but got the same problem the next time I inserted after
copying from the PC. What am I doing wrong?
I apologize if this has been covered recently.
