All Right! A number of these problems can be resolved usually with a reset.
Try a normal reset. After Keysoft has booted up, have
a play and see if you continue to have problems. If so, I'd recommend a 1,2,3
reset. Follow the information in the next paragraph
*Exactly!*

Firstly, make sure the BrailleNote is switched on and is sitting at the Main
Menu. If possible, connect the AC Addapter. Now on a
BT, hold down dots 1,2,3, on a QT, F,D,s. While holding these keys down, press
reset. *****Do not release the keys yet!***** Now
when the BrailleNote announces a switchon message, release the keys. do not
worry if Keysoft version numbers are different here,
this is resolveable.

Check see if you've still got problems. If not, reinstall the latest KeySoft
you are eligable for. If so, and you've check
everything you can think of, get tech support. Don't give up after one call,
they might be busy.

To restore installed KeySoft, press reset with no keys.

Hope this information is of help,
Matthew

Subject: [Braillenote] Please, help!!!

Oops! Sorry! didn't mean to send a blank message!

Hi,

My name is vy pham. I am a new member on this list.

Just recently, I am having a couple problems with my braillenote. the most
important problem is that I've lost all the files and
folders that I've been created in to my braillenote. I did try to hit the reset
button a few time, but it wouldn't do anything. Can
someone please give me some other suggestions, besides hitting the reset key,
so I can restore my files and folders?

the second problem that I'm having is with the thumb key. For some reason, I
can't use them anymore. I've gone in to the obtions
menue, and made sure that the key obtion is on, but still, no luck!

Last but not least, when I tried to type the words in the document I've
created, it would turn out to be like garbage stuff, so I
couldn't even read what I've written.

And the last problem I am having difficulty with is try to create a regular
braille document instead of a text document. I've read
the manual on how to do this. I did try hitting the letter x with the space bar
to go through the list of different file types. I
did choose the braille file obtion, but it still turned out to be a text
document, whitch is not what I want to have.

I did contact Pulsedata technical support couple days ago, but I haven't heard
from anybody. Can someone out there please, please
help??? My classes for the Spring Semester will start next week, and I don't
want to be stuck with these problems forever!

Thanks in advance!

Vy Pham
