Hello Terri,
Simply reset your unit! If need be, reset your unit with dots 4 5 6 held
down If a simple reset does not work. Should you do a reset with dots 4 5
6 held down, you will need to reset your clock and calendar.
I was trying to delete a file. My unit wouldn't let me do so. It was a
newer MSW file which my unit couldn't read. I did both resets and I
finally could delete the file. it is possible your problem is more complex
but try that first and see what happens!

Hello everyone,
I have what I feel to be an odd situation going on. However, I've only had
my Braille Note for a little more than a week.
Here's the situation.
The other day I wanted to transfer a word document onto the Braille Note.
When I tried doing this, I got a message saying that there wasn't the proper
amount of memory for this file.
That's not exactly what it reported, but that is rather close.
Then when I tried again, I got a message saying that this file type wasn't
compatible.
Again, that's not exactly how this message came across, but that's close.
Well, I decided to save the file as a text file, and then try to move it.
This time I was able to move it without any problems.
However, when I opened the file I was told that computer Braille was
required.
The file was unreadable. It just was a bunch of gibberish.
There were a bunch of back slashs and right braces in it. It was quite
strange.
Well, I decided to try again today and see if I'd have the same luck. This
time I tried moving a different word file.
This time I was able to transfer it without any problems. But when I opened
it, I was again told that computer braille was required.
And this time some of the text was written in grade 2 braille, while some of
it was written in grade 1.
Also, some of the text looked wrong. For instance, the word schooling was
written,
S CH sign, O O L I G.
That wasn't the only time I saw this sort of thing. Other times, it was as
though extra contractions were added to some of the words.
I noticed when I looked threw my list of files that this file I had
transferred had the extention, PWD.
Is this what it should have had?
It had the extention, DOC before I moved it, so why would that have changed?
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
I'm not sure if there's something I'm doing wrong, or just something that I
need to do, that I'm not doing. But whatever it might be, I'm not too sure
what else to do.
Will only certain types of DOC files open with the Braille Note?
If so, then how do you know which ones that might be?
Any help in this matter will be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Terri
