Hi. Why is it necessary to get the mac address? If there is a place to enter it in the bn wireless setup, what does it do to have it there?
Thanks.

Hay, any of you have either one of the 2 bar code readers out there, i wonder if reading this address would work with one of those?
Just a thought.

David,

I tried Don's Suggestion and scanned my Ambicom card with Open Book. I was able to read the MAC address without any problems. If you have an Ambicom card, the word "MAC" is followed by a bar code and the address itself is underneath the barcode. You might hear some gibberish after the word MAC, but you will then hear the address. I forget how many of the digits are the manufacturers code, but my address starts with 0010. The numbers do not have any delimiters between them so it will sound just like a 12 digit number. I also limit access to my LAN by MAC address. This is a very good security measure.

Hi All,

I'm setting up my Braille note's wireless card to connect to my wireless
network. I have set up my router to have a wireless access list. This
means that I only allow those wireless devices to connect to my wireless
network by using their Mac Address. I'm just wondering if there is a
program or utility which I could use with the Braille Note to get the Mac
Address of my Braillenote's wireless card? I believe the card's Mac address
is written on the wireless card itself but we don't have any sighted people
in the house to read it. Any info on the above is much appreciated.
