Why can't they put in a page off feature? We turn enough other things on and off.

Especially if you are reading a nonfiction book that might have a lot of numbers in it as I was this weekend. I got lost several times in whether or not this was a print page, a braille page or a number of something in the book. and when I read hard copy braille, I don't look at the page number when I read. it's just a personal thing, I guess. It has always bothered me to have to hear page numbers read, when I'm trying to read for pleasure and lose myself in a story. It breaks up my concentration. sherry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Terri Pannett Sent: Monday, May 30, 2005 10:37 AM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] book reader and page numbers I can't understand why page numbers are such an annoyance. Every book, whether it's braille or print, has page numbers in it. When I read LOTR using speech, I first edited the print page numbers so they would sound right. But I would never take page numbers out of a book. The reason why I don't put page numbers in my Bibles is because I often redo the files when I find an error.
