i don't know if it could be programmed to know the difference between page
numbers and other numbers.

Why can't they put in a page off feature? We turn enough other things on
and off.

Yes. and they aren't an annoyance when being read in braille. but they are
an annoyance when reading with the speech turned on. Especially if you are
reading a nonfiction book that might have a lot of numbers in it as I was
this weekend. I got lost several times in whether or not this was a print
page, a braille page or a number of something in the book. and when I read
hard copy braille, I don't look at the page number when I read. it's just a
personal thing, I guess. It has always bothered me to have to hear page
numbers read, when I'm trying to read for pleasure and lose myself in a
story. It breaks up my concentration.

I can't understand why page numbers are such an annoyance. Every book,
whether it's braille or print, has page numbers in it.

When I read LOTR using speech, I first edited the print page numbers so they

would sound right. But I would never take page numbers out of a book.

The reason why I don't put page numbers in my Bibles is because I often redo

the files when I find an error.
