I am reposting the following message because of email problems we are
experiencing at my work site. If this turns out to be a duplicate, I
apologize in advance for the clutter.

Some would like to propose that there is a clear and present fix for
this one.
The evidence is unclear on this issue. I always kept my cf card in my
Braillenote, never removed it. And, I was never asked to reformat the
card.

In the previous mother board (the original one) version, my flash disk
crashed three times. However, insofar as being asked to reformat cf
cards, (or not being asked and suddenly finding a clean card with none
of my files on it) this never happened to me. I don't think one can
jump to the conclusion that if you don't keep your card in your
Braillenote you won't have a problem. Not quite that black and white.
PDI, you will note, doesn't know why it happens to some and not others.
Thanks.

Hi, Laura. Don't say that. Lol. I don't know why I have never had a
problem
with my flash disk. If others have, I wonder what the variable might be?

What if they left things open when turning off their unit? I try to make

sure I don't do that unless I am sure I will turn on my bn in a few
minutes. But if I know I will be heaving it off for an hour or more, I
won't turn it off while in a file.
Still, I wonder what causes some people like yourself to lose files and
others like me, knock on wood, not to.
