Hi Lissi,

What it sounds like is that actually the bn asks for the folder name and gives
you the default of none. This is really the rood folder or directory on your
flash
card. Assuming you did not create any folders and just moved books to the
card, you want to press enter when it says none.

Next you should be asked for the document name. Just press space to get a list
of all the documents in the root folder and you should find the books you
want.

If you did create folders on the flash card, when you see the folder name
offered as none, just hit space for a list of all the folders on the card and
pick the
one where you put your books. Then press enter on that and locate the book you
want to read.

Don't worry about asking questions. Some of us have played with conputers and
note takers for years, but we have all started out from nothing at one time
or another, so we remember what it was like when we were trying to figure it
all out.

I hope this helps a little, but if not, just ask again and we'll get it all
working in good time.

Don

Dear Mike and BN Users,

Mike, one thing that happened while you were unsubscribed is that I joined
this list and have been lurking for a few weeks. I have my talents, but I'm
in the minus zone when it comes to technology.

Most of the posts on this list might as well be in Swedish, which I don't
speak, but I lurk on, hopeful that I'll learn something.

I've had my braille note for about 9 months and love it. I've called for
tech support twice and both times I got the help I needed and the people who
talked with me didn't make me feel self conscious about asking easy
questions I should have been able to figure out myself.

Now, here I go asking my first question. Please be patient, because though I
aced advanced math and chemistry in college, many, many years ago, computer
help files usually get me deeper in trouble.

I love reading web braille. I successfully move the files from, "my e
books," in My Documents to my Compaq flash card. Then I put the card in the
back of the B N and get to the line where it says something like, file name,
"none," Then the process falls apart. I manage by cycling through menus in
complete confusion, to transfer the files to the flash card, which I think
is right, but the file shows up in odd places! It's a maze for me to locate
the title I want and if I didn't write the locations down in the word
processor section, I'd never find some of them and would have to start over.

I hope I asked this question clearly enough and I'll truly appreciate help
from this list.

Sincerely,

Lissi
