For the record, it is very easy to skip top-quoted material on the bn by
using space with dots 5,6 (read with 9), provided that you're paragraph
settings are set to blank line, or blank line and spaces. Personally, I do
not feel that deleting all such email is constituted, especially when the
persons known to do it always provide helpful and relevant information, and
especially when you are a PDI member whose monitoring of the list comforts
many people (including myself.) HTH, Laura

I don't think you are in the minority at all. As far as I can tell, Email
messages, like so many other things are in the eye of the beholder. Some
people like to have the original message at the top, some don't. In my
pinion, when I am reading Email with a PC, I don't mind skipping quickly
past the original, but when reading with my BrailleNote, I would rather have
the new information at the top of the message and then scroll down only if I
need to brush up on the original.
I hope this makes some sense and isn't too confusing.

Sarah

Hi, it's Rhonda with a grin, grin! I made this same comment last week. My
reason for the comment was that there is no way to tell where one message
ends, and the other begins. If I don't recall the previous message, I would
rather scan down to find it, but since I do remember, I'd rather see the new
messages first. Two of us may be in the minority, grin!

>Hello there, I don't suppose there's any hard-and-fast rules concerning
email lay-out, but I'm beginning to find it a little ennoying to have
complete message repeats before getting down to the answer. Most of us who
regularly check the list can surely remember the original and it's obviously
very time-consuming to have to wade through messages more than once.
Surely, if it is thought necessary to repeat a message for those who might
not have picked it up the first time, it should be placed after the
information being given. What do you think? Am I in a minority in having
other things to deal with as well as the list. Don Cooper.
