I think maybe we're getting confused because of terminology. The little device that fits into the side slot on the BrailleNote and permits a compact flash card to be used in that slot is called a PCMCIA adapter. The device that plugs into the PC and allows file management in Windows Explorer is a compact flash card reader/writer.
