Rhonda,

Is she using dsl from earthlink? The reason I ask is that when we moved here
we had to get dsl from sbc as earthlink doesn't support it here. But, I wanted
to keep my earthlink email account for a while, so used the sbc dsl but
connected to the earthlink servers for email. This worked for quite a while
but
recently I found I was unable to send mail at all, and neither earthlink nor
sbc would admit to having a problem. This just happened one day and email was
dead from then on.

I did often experience slow downloads of email as well when connecting this
way.

Personally, I never noticed a difference in speed when switching from
mail.earthlink.net to pop.earthlink.net, but anything is worth trying.

Does the browser work okay with the dsl connection? If so, that would
eliminate the connection itself as being the problem. At least I'd think so.
<smile>

Hi, Don:

She doesn't have dial up. She has always used DSL with this service. I did
have her delete everything, and we put it back in. I'll have her change the
pop server, though. I was using pop.earthlink.net. It's worth a try. I
would think New York would have the same system as anywhere else.
