firstly, I need to establish what version of KeySoft you are running.
However, whatever version of KeySoft you are running, KeyPlan does not
rely
on any of the KeyList databases. I guess that then begs the question as
to
exactly which file(s) you deleted?
Upon opening the Planner, a Planner file will automatically be created or
a
database will automatically be created if you are running 5.1.
However, the error you have described matches the KeyList behaviour. I
suspect you have deleted the address list.klt file, which is only a text
file defining the fields of the database. the database is in fact, stored
in a cdb file, which doesn't show up by default, that is, you need to
"show
all including hidden files" before you can see it.
If what I suspect is the case, simply copy the address list.klt file from
the Windows folder on the KeySoft system disk, to the KeyList folder on
the
flash disk and you should be up and running. Next time you access
KeyList,
you will be prompted to create a new database.

Hi all. I hope I haven't done irreversable damage to the planner feature
of
my BrailleNote, but here's my situation.
I entered the planner for the first time yesterday, whereupon it asked me
if
I wanted to create a new database. I said yes, and made an experimental
entry. Here's where the problem came about. Thinking that the only way
to
clean out the database in full was to delete it directly, rather than
deleting my one entry, which I know now was probably the preferred course
of
action, I went into the file manager, found the Key list database, and
deleted it. Now, whenever I go into the Planner function of the
BrailleNote, it asks for a filename, and there are no files to my
knowledge
where the database of addresses reside, as I deleted it. In perhaps
another
poinient illustration of Murphy's Law and making assumptions, I assumed
that
when I deleted the database containing my one entry and returned to the
Planner function, it would simply ask me if I wanted to create a new
database, as it did the first time I ran the Planner.
Please tell me I haven't rendered this feature useless and that there is a
way to correct it.

PS. If this database is of critical importance to running the Planner
feature, perhaps a precautionary measure in Keysoft should be implemented
that would prevent a user from intentionally or accidentally deleting
software elements essential in the operation of one of the BrailleNote's
functions.
