Here is some information that I hope is helpful to you. At this time, it is not possible to activate a link directly from within an e-mail messages, as in clicking on the link and causing the Web browser to open, which would, in turn, bring you to the selected page. However, there is a work around, which I will explain below. 1) Ensure that your cursor is on the first letter of the link. 2) Press [SPACE with B] to enter the Block Commands Menu. 2) Press T to insert a Top of Block marker. Alternatively, you could insert the Top of Block marker without entering the Block Commands Menu by, when your cursor is on the first letter of the link, pressing [BACKSPACE with M], To ensure that the Top of Block Marker is present (this is only if you want to do so), press [SPACE with dot 3], to move the cursor back a character. You should now see the Top of Block Marker, which displays as the Computer Braille dollar sign, dots 1-2-4-6, followed by the letters blt without any spaces. 3) Now, place your cursor at the end of the link. This means to place your cursor on the cell immediately AFTER the last letter of the link. 4) Enter the Block Commands Menu as described in Step 2. 5) Press B to insert the Bottom of Block Marker. Note that there is no alternative for doing this besides entering the Block Commands Menu. Again, if you want to ensure that the Bottom of Block Marker is present, use the Move Cursor to Previous Character command stated at the end of step 2. The Bottom of Block marker looks exactly like the Top of Block, except that the letters following the Computer Braille dollar sign are blb (as opposed to blt). 6) After inserting the Bottom of Block marker, you are returned to the Block Commands Menu. This is because KeySoft assumes that, now that you have inserted a Bottom of Block marker, you have also inserted a Top of Block marker, and now, you want to manipulate this block of text you have just marked. In this case, the assumption is correct, so stay in the Block Commands Menu. Press C to Copy the Block to the Clipboard. 7) You should receive the prompt "Block copied to clipboard". You are now returned to the e-mail message. At this point, it's a good idea to check how the link ends, so that you can make sure the entire link was pasted in (see below). Once you have an idea of the last few letters/numbers/punctuation of the link, press [ENTER with BACKSPACE with I], to enter KeyWeb. 8) If you are not immediately presented with the "Address?" prompt, press [ENTER with O], to get to it. 9) At the "Address?" prompt, press [BACKSPACE with V], This commands pastes the first line from the clipboard to a field, and works when the Block Commands Menu does not. In this case, the first line of the clipboard should be sufficient for the entire link. However, if it isn't, you will have to input the rest of it manually after pasting the first line of the clipboard. Note that if you switch back to KeyMail to check the end of your link, which you would only do if you were sure the entire link was not part of the first line of the clipboard and was therefore not pasted at the "Address?" prompt (as I said, this is rare), you will have to repeat the process starting with step 7 because the contents of the "Address?" prompt will not be saved in the browser. 10) Once the link is inputted in its entirety at the "Address?" prompt, press ENTER, and you have activated it.
