Do you know what it costs for a good digital recorder? Try between 3 and 400 dollars and hope that it is accessible. And then when you want to play any size and sample rate of mp3 file you can buy a 340 dollar book courier or 400 dollar book port. Where does it end? I am not slamming PDI because their media player currently has problems. This message has nothing to do with that, but wouldn't it be nice if your bn could play any size mp3 or wma file mono or stereo? Wouldn't it be nice if the new main board allowed for digital recording onto a flash card so you could record a lecture then listen to that lecture again and take notes? What PDI does will be up to them depending on what their priorities for the notetaker family are. Right now, you can't play audible files on a bn. You cannot play large mp3 files or files that don't support the correct sample rate. You cannot digitally record. If you need to do this stuff, right now, you need to be a clothes tree and buy a digital recorder, a bookport or whatever else you need so you can do what you need to do. But wouldn't it be nice if in the future, you could carry one unit that does it all? I know that most PDA's can digitally record, but it is limited to the memory that the particular PDA has. Most PDA users just record personal notes. Most blind folks would also like to record a class lecture for an hour or two. Our needs are a bit different than those for the sighted community.

Hi, List!

Shouldn't it be considered? After all, don't men carry handkerchifs in their pockets? That's a piece of clothing! Kind of like your underwear and t-shirts.
