Hi, I've got version 5.0 right now. I wanted to get 5.1, because I like the planner. i'd been planning just to wait till I could afford to upgrade to 6.1, but after seeing my friend's new BN--which incidentally I was responsible for her getting it because she was so overjoyed after seeing mine--I really liked the ability to set up recurring appointments. However, I just can't get past the reset with dots 1 2 3 so I'm not sure what to do at this point. Oh well.
Speaking of the BN, since I've been visiting my friend, I've finally for the first time used my BN for email! Oh man that was fun! I'm using a PC now, because i get so much mail overnight that it's faster this way to handle it, but reading and sending email on the BN was so easy and fun! I'm very happy. Later, I'll try browsing the web. By the way, PDI folks, do I get a commission for my friend buying a braille note after my wonderful demonstration and sales pitch? grin. Just kidding of course! My experience is that, although apart from the new planner, keysoft 5.1 didn't have much more features than 5, but it definitely is more stable regarding email and keyweb than keysoft 5. I'm going to wait for 6.1. It sounds like you've already tried numerous times. Give tech support a call, as I think something is rotten somewhere. I downloaded the upgrade to my storage card and read the directions in the manual for upgrading. However, it seems to stick at the part where I'm supposed to reset with dots 1 2 and 3. Every time I run the upgrade, it goes back to that. I hold down the keys, seemingly forever, fingers shaking, growing numb ... Ok, I'm being silly and exaggerating a bit. But it does always go back to that place. It doesn't seem to be installing the program. I have gone to the utilities menu, to application program, chosen storage card, directory slash, pressed enter on the keysoft program, pressed enter at command line and then enter again when prompted. Yet, still it goes to that reset with dots 1 2 and 3. I do this and it says to run the installation again. I go through all the steps again, and it goes back to reset with dots 1 2 and 3. Ok, I'm sure its driver error, so please, what am I doing wrong? Thanks!
