I only remove my card when I want to use the card reader to add
something to it or use the computer to do a lot of batch things. I have
seen this message only a few times in three years with the BN and not at
all in the past nine months.

I wouldn't worry too much about the BN going into hibernation mode and
the CF card. Mine does it quite frequently and that was never when the
problems happened. It always seems to happen either at power on or
after a reset.

Laura,
Thank you for that information. One question about this and the
Braillenote sleep mode. Say I am using the Braillenote, card incerted,
and I do not touch the Braillenote for ten minutes. The Braillenote
goes into sleep mode. Should I remove the compact flash disk prior to
waking up the Braillenote?

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger
