This isn't necessarily true. LuAnn received over 200 messages with her voicenote and nothing bad happened to her database. Of course, she has come to hate pc's now, in general.
Oh, a tip... If you ever want to completely wipe your flash disk and re--install KeySoft it is good to use activeSync on a serial port. To do this: 1. do a sdf or dots 123 reset. 2. connect to activesync using the rom version of KeySoft. 3. go into mobile device and then my handheld pc. 4. open the flash disk item there on the pc side. 5. press control a to highlight all, then press shift with delete. all of this is done on the pc's end. 6. You will receive dialog boxes on the pc's end asking you to confirm protected files or read--only files, Press Y at every one. ... When done, you should see 0 or zero items in the flash disk, in the root of the flash disk in the flash disk / (slash) folder. Now on the braillenote side, do a jkl or dots 456 reset and reset your time and date... And now make sure you have a copy of the latest keysoft like KeySoft 5.1 12345 install.exe on a compact flash card, and install away! that's the quick way to completely wipe the flash disk. I don't recommend doing that with the system disk if that is even possible... Warning! not sure if this is good for 6.1 users and also this will delete languages, and gps software and other utilities on the flash disk you have installed!!!
