I must be extremely lucky. I'm not an in depth braille note user, since I
do most major computing on my PC. however, i have stored very import
personal and work info on it. i take it with me when i travel, and when I
go on job interviews or things like that. i leave the compact flash card in
all the time. never think to take it out every time I turn on the BN. I've
had my BN for five years. I've never lost any data. Recently, I've copied
most of my files to my compact flash card, just in case. As I say, I'm
extremely lucky. And I must have a pretty stable little machine here.

Hi. People on the list say not to leave your flash card in when you turn
the unit on. I have always taken that advice. I believe it is also not to
good to leave the card in when doing a reset.
I have had my qt for almost 18 months and have never lost a file. Also, use
chkdsk to check the integrity of your flash cards once in a while. You will
need a card reader to do this.
You can either copy from card to card to make yourself a backup or create a
folder on your hard drive and copy the card's contents into that folder.
Next, put in a new card into your reader and copy the contents of the
folder you created to the new card.
