Cranberry-Nut Bread

2 cups sifted flour
1/3 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 egg, well beaten
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup chopped cranberries
2/3 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine milk, egg and 
butter. Add to dry ingredients. Fold in cranberries and nuts.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes, or until done. Serves 
16.

Note: To insure freshness, you may wrap this loaf in waxed paper
