Oh, that wouldn't be a problem for me - no more bottle. A big plus for plumbed in - no more washing the bottle & hoses - I like that. I read in coffeesnobs.au about a user that converted over and the panel opening was too large. He made a spacer/filler out of something to fill the gaps. If you had to cut out the opening more, it would be hard because the s/s front plate is backed up by another steel plate. That person also positioned the PID protruding out the front of the machine instead of flush mount. He used his homemade spacer to make it look good. That must have been done for the water bottle. I think he used an Auber brand. I don't know what was done with the thermocouple.
