Hi Bruce, I have the perfect adapter for you. It will go from the braided
stainless steel line to 1/2" NPT.
Please forward me your address and I will ship it right out at no charge.
Thanks

I would guess Ace would have some british thread selection, but I got mine
from the local Swaglok dealer in Denver. You can certainly get a selection of
adapters from McMaster supply online, but the shipping would probably cost too
much.
Does the braided hose that goes to Brewtus go to the inlet of a vibe pump?
That is why I changed to an external rotary pump, because I wasn't aware of how
to connect the mains line to the push-on silicone hose fitting which was part
of the pump. Since then, I have seen an adapter for that application. I didn't
need the external pump, but back then the info was not clear, so my mains line
goes straight to the boiler tee where the vibe pump connects to. - Dennis

I've attached a cheesy phone-cam picture of "frankenconnector". You can
understand why I want to get this cleaned up and sorted out. It's not a
scary-looking with the naked eye though, I swear! :)
The braided hose at the bottom goes to the B2 and the female connector is
part of it. The double-male part with all the tape is something that also came
with the Brewtus. I had hoped it was NPT, but it didn't quite fit anything
they had at Ace. The double-female is NPT and it almost fits the Brewtus
supplied part, but not quite. The top is 3/8 compression from the water supply.
Having now read up on BSP it does sound likely that that's what's on the end
of the braided hose. Now I guess I have to figure out exactly which size and
track down a proper adapter.
Thanks for the help,
Bruce

I didn't know WLL had a plumb in kit. It was promised to be available
within one year of the beginning sale of B1 , but never was available, as
there was a lot of interest posted on this forum. Instead, WLL used the time
to develop newer models of Brewtus.
I understand the factory uses a valve to be switched between reservoir and
mains supply, and don't see why a part like that couldn't be used with the
Brewtus models. Cost per unit , I guess.
If you are tapping into the boiler tee inside the machine, (the hole where
your vibe pump tube screws into) that thread should be 1/4 British pipe. One
simple adapter from 1/4 british pipe to either 1/4 or 3/8 NPT (your choice,
but a 3/8 feed in would be better.) The way I understand it, you can get 1/8
british to work woth 1/8 NPT with teflon tape, but not the 1/4 size. It will
leak.
You should check with WLL because I have no idea what they supplied you
with, but it shouldn't need any other adapters for you to get. - Dennis

Subject: Plumbing fittings
Well, I finally made it to the homebrew store to buy citric acid to
descale my boilers. It's now time to revisit an issue I had when I
first bought my BII, which is plumbing.
I ordered my Brewtus with the optional plumbing kit. When I went to
hook it up I could find no clue as to what size the fitting was. After
several trips to Ace hardware and much headscratching, I finally came up
with a combination of fittings, couplings and shitloads of teflon tape
which only leaked a tiny bit. I'd like to finally do the job right.
So, does anyone know offhand just what size/type of fitting I need to buy?
Thanks,
Bruce
