hi. i purchased a bII in november of 2005. for the most part it has been trouble free. i have it on a timer. it comes on at 7am and turns off at 10pm weekdays and stays on on weekends. i replaced the pressurestat with a better version when it failed and i've replaced one vibe pump that may have just needed cleaning. i don't remember having to replace anything else. considering the use it gets i've been very satisfied with the brewtus. i think you will be too. i'd go with the rotary version and buy a spare pressurestat from chris's coffee and you shoud be set for years.
