Tom, if it was just grind and tamper pressure, then I will wait for tomorrow to get the real grinder.
What alarmed me is this video that shows run without portafilter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPdz8Cz7lrc I can clearly see at least 2 seconds delay before the full pressure is cranked-up. In my case it runs at the full power immediately after the handle goes up. Can someone with III R do a test without the portafilter, and let me know if the 2-3 seconds delay is normal?
