Thanks for the reply. The squealing sound starts just after pre-infusion so it seems to be related to pressure build up. The handle does not move at all during extraction and is generally moves smoothly, although I noticed increased friction after cleaning with Cafiza. There is no impact on function as far as I can tell, so I am wondering if it is a bad gasket.

Thanks,

Chris

I have brand new BIIIR, and after my first cleaning with Cafiza (or
now you got me thinking, after brewing pressure adjustment) right
after pre-infusion chamber is full, group head handle moves a bit
right and down. It was squealing at first, but now I don't hear any
noise. There is no impact on functionality for now.

There is a good article on e61 lubrication that might help:

I just finished a rotary conversion due to a vibe pump failure and all
was well until I adjusted the brew pressure because after the
conversion the pressue was only at 8. Upon bringing it up to 9, there
is a squeeling sound coming from the brew group when I pull a shot. I
am wondering if anybody has had a similar experience or knows the
cause.

Thanks
