Hey Dan, Thanks for the tip. I had this experience also, but I don't think people tend to descale every couple of months. More like every year or two. I will also tip the machine each of the four directions and let it sit that way for a couple hours each during descaling, to submerge the water line and its scale. I think the reason Todd's suggestion works is because it allows all the descaler and blue water to drain at once; otherwise, you're just diluting it with each flush, until it is clear enough that you can no longer see or taste the blue/metallic aspects. I think it took me about 20 flushes when I did it that way. That can also be a pump killer if you do it all at once.
