I guess I’ve been overdoing it at 4+ oz, but heck, it’s only water.  You’re 
practices of flushing 3 or 1-1.5 ounces, are they based on actually measuring 
the water temperature or just what seems to work for you?  I can get annoyingly 
meticulous with these things and I sometimes wonder if it all amounts to 
anything.  Like I have a PID on order, currently backordered, and I wonder if 
it’s really going to be worth the trouble.   Todd reasoned that the existing 
thermostat is a part that tends to wear out, so that’s at least a good 
rationale for doing the “upgrade.”  What's other people's experience been?
