My new B4R arrived today and it only took me 10 minutes to turn it on;
set the PID to 201. I have been waiting a week in California so I was
prepared for its arrival. Started with the single shot La Marzocco
filter basket and a naked La Marzocco PF. I had already modified my
Rocky for step-less grinding. I got out my Counter Culture Apollo
roasted on 2/28, loaded the 7 gm measure and ground where I thought
would be perfect. The first short ran through so fast I could not get
the timer off quick enough. Tried several lower grind setting with
variable times per shot. THEN I noticed that the Rocky was not
behaving its self, the grind setting got coarser during the grinding.
The burrs were not staying in position. I fixed that problem and got
off another shot. This time 30ml@22 sec. sweet fruit. I used my old
machine so long I nearly forgot what espresso was suppose to taste
like.
