So, as I mentioned in a previous post, I've been thinking of
increasing my steam pressure from .8 to 1.2 bar. After a long talk
with my vendor, I was curious to see how many of you have done this,
versus how many steam with the factory preset of .8 bar. I know that
WLL sets their Brewtus's to 1.2 before they ship, but it seems that
many vendors in Canada and Australia ship the machines "as is" at .8.
My vendor explained to me that raising the pressure is largely
unnecessary, because all it does is speed up the process. He also
maintains that all raising the steam pressure does is shorten the life
of the heating element and pressure stat. Furthermore, he states that
in Europe, people tend to steam milk using much lower pressure than in
North America. I was wondering how you all feel about this issue, and
ask how many of you still steam at .8 (at least those of you who did
not buy through WLL). I'd be curious to see the results. My own
experience steaming at .8 is that I can get decent results....it just
seems a little more difficult and variable.

Happy Easter!
