Thanks, Rob. I really appreciate your effort. It seems a great idea to mix some hard and distilled water (but I have to order a TDS Meter for measurements). My problem is that I recharge the softener every 3 days or so. That's why I asked about how many times I can recharge it before throw it out. However, I am waiting for a DVA LT8 l softener, I hope will help me get rid of this annoying problem. Is there anybody else who uses this LT8 softener?
