I think I have a water level probe issue in the steam boiler on my ~3 month old Brewtus IV-R. This started happening after I had the machine off for ~5 days. At first the pump would run intermittently and now it just runs constantly when the machine is on.
If both the water and steam wand valves are closed, the steam boiler overpressures (steam OPV opens) due to the pump running to fill it. If I open the water wand is open, it will just fill and ultimately overflow the drip pan. I've taken the level probe out (with the large nut, not the small one) and cleaned it - it had marginal build up. Our water softener is brand new and works quite well. I cannot get the pump to shut off even if I unhook the probe wire or ground it out to the chassis. Videos of when it was intermittently OPV'ing - steam and water wand valves closed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXhdcGGzBps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNaFFapIMkY Continuous run when turned on from cold: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqpLNQgTFcw PID is in celsius mode. Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior? Ben -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
