I have a leak at the level also, but only when brewing, so I don't worry
about it. I also don't use a pressure regulator, but I don't know what
my line pressure is.

I don't use one either, and my water line pressure is 105 PSI. I do
think I need one, however, because I am starting to leak at the
bushing for the lever. Maybe others can comment on whether or not this
is a wear part usually? My machine is about five years old, so I
wouldn't be surprised if the bushing had worn by now.

I dont use any sort of pressure regulator for my B iv-r and its been
fine. I do however have the filters from Chris Coffee in line b4 the
machine. I highly recommend those!

I recently installed a 1/4" in-line water feed for my Brewtus
IV-R. I was
told that it is a good idea to install a pressure reducing valve
so I can
regulate the incoming pressure. My current pressure in that 1/4"
line
is approximately 35-50psi.
I did a search and could not come up with a good source for a
pressure
reducing valve for a 1/4" feed for an application like mine.
Does anyone have any good suggestions: first, is this is
required and
second, where to find a reducing valve for an appliance like the
Brewtus?
Many thanks for any help you can provide........
BTW: approximately 2-months owner and using the Brewtus and it
TOTALLY
ROCKS. I am sooooo happy with it and been making great espresso
drinks
each day. Even my family is getting involved!

Unless your mains pressure fluctuates a lot (or is very high) I
wouldn't worry about it. You can use the rotary pump regulator
to give you 9 bar or whatever. I have a pressure regulator
before my machine but only because I want to regulate the
pressure for timed pre-infusion.
