Hi guys, I've been more excited about this machine than any other, and it finally arrived today. I've had a new filter assembly and lines ready for it, but I knew I'd need to take them to the hardware store for a fitting (not sure what size the Brewtus water line is, maybe 3/8", but the filter looks setup for 1/2"). I happened to have a smaller 3/8" T connection for a Grimac Mini, and it was the right size for the Brewtus so I decided to hook it up for a quick test. Can't believe how smoothly it all came together, will this smaller T connection possibly cause restriction? I'm not sure what my line pressure is yet, but I get a nice gentle pre-infusion if desired, and the pump reads 9 bar and sounds great. Should I open the water line valve as much as I can? I figured without a pressure regulator in place, avoiding excessive pressure would be a good thing.
Not sure which pressure regulator I'll get, but I read an instruction that the best way to set the pressure was to disconnect pump power, lift the lever, line pressure will show on the gauge, adjust pressure regulator (up to 1.5-2, I think?), then adjust pump to 9 bar. Manual pre-infusion isn't my biggest priority right now, after years of WDTing I'm experimenting with not doing that, and the pucks look good. We'll see what the bottomless shows.
