There is nothing wrong with the vibe pump.  For a long time, it was the only 
game in town for all home users.  But with the Brewtus, you have an 
opportunity: it is a lot cheaper and simpler to go ahead and get the factory 
installed rotary pump when you are buying a new machine rather than to 
contemplate trying to do it yourself at some point in the future.  

If you  feel that right now, you can't afford the extra 7.6%, then relax.  It 
is not essential.  There has not been any systematic testing that has 
demonstrated that people can taste a difference between the two pumps.  But 
most users report that the quiet rotary is more "pleasant" and just feels a 
little nicer to use.  So why not just get the ultimate version and skip the 
"gee, why didn't I do it" feeling down the road.  With the current sale and the 
newsletter deals, I think we are talking about ~$100. Perhaps you could hink of 
it as using the sales tax dollars you save ... unless you live in NY and have 
to pay it.  :)
